I am beyond excited to be apart of the St Croix Valley Wedding Showcase on February 24 at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Stillwater MN. This will be my second official show for Corner Bungalow. To jumpstart the new year, I am slowly adding new designs for the gals and guys in my shop. Stay tuned for new items posted throughout the next month and information for the show!
Here are a few just added to the shop!

I am beyond excited to announce that Corner Bungalow will be a vendor at the Zenith City Indie Wedding Show this upcoming weekend 4/29/12 in Duluth MN! I have been making pretty bridal and bridesmaid hair flowers and my new tartan plaids just got shipped from Scotland today for the neckties! I will be whipping up some handsome ties just in the nick of time for Sunday. This is my first show being a ‘vendor’ and not a bride! I can’t wait to talk to the lovely brides and grooms-to-be.
My amazing husband has offered up, well I pretty much begged him to help…well the conversation went like this.
Me: ‘I would love if you could come help me with the show, it will be really fun, plus you can run the necktie side of Corner Bungalow.’
Nick: ‘What do I get out of this deal?’
Me: ‘What do you want?’
Nick: ‘To go on any climbing trip I want over Memorial day’
Nick: I have already planned a trip to Red Rock.
So that being said, Zenith will have both of us there! Nick will be a rock-star like he always is and will be sporting a new tartan tie as well.
This past weekend has been a flurry to get things prepped! My very lovely sister, pregnant with twins, even modeled the 20 + new items I will be adding to Corner Bungalow! I can’t wait to give a recap next week after the event. I am sure the night will just fly by. The show is not your typical bridal fair, but more a night out with your guy while planning your big day. I feel so honored to be apart of the amazing night!
Here is a sneak peek at a few additions to Corner Bungalow:

I am beyond excited to finally share our wedding photos. Yes, I have given glimpses of the design aspects, but here is the first chapter of the moments captured by J.Rau Photography. Every time I look at these photos a huge smile always falls across my face. This was truly the happiest day of my entire life. To have been surrounded by all my family and friends I love oh so dearly, and to walk down the aisle and say I DO to the man of my dreams.
I am getting Married! I kept thinking the entire day. My sister, maid of honor was besides herself the night before as we stayed at the St Paul Hotel. After counting sheep, and not being able to fall asleep, Jen sat up and started talking to me in the big sister calming manner no one can do except her. She instantly put me at ease, I was just SO excited to get married to Nick and could not fall sleep. I was never one bit nervous, I was just excited for Nick to see me in my dress, give him the official kiss, celebrate with our family and friends, and live happily ever after! It was going to be a party, and it for sure was a night to remember!
I love the bottom right photo. Me always fanning my face to hide the tears on the horizon while my mom tilts her head back in a laughing manner to keep the sweet tears inside.

After finding the amazing Dundee Tartan for the guys ties, I had to integrate the fabric for the gals too! I incorporated the tartan into the bridemaids hair flowers while differentiating the personal attendants with solid sunflower yellow which matched the groom’s tie and groomsmen pocket squares. I wanted to create pieces that had personality and brought everyone together in the bridal party. After the wedding, my closest friends and family are able to wearing the flowers in their hair, attached to belts, sweaters, or whatever! All of the flowers are made out of 100% wool and 100% silk organza to give the pieces body and weight. I chose to attach the flower on an alligator clip for a secure hold, knowing the night would consist of a dance party later on. These flowers are what inspired me to make and sell my creations on CornerBungalow!
For me the bride, I was going back and forth on having a veil. I LOVED the back of my dress and could not bare, no pun intended 😉 to cover it up! So I whipped up a 100% silk satin and organza with Swarovski crystal center flower piece. This piece tied all of us girls together having the faintest yellow silk center. Using a comb allowed it also to stay secure in my hair all night long.
I was beyond excited to wrap up their little gifts when I found the amazing measuring tape ribbon! OMG, it tied everything together and gave the hint that there was something truly made with care inside. The oh so sweet and fun MOB (mother of the bride) bought the beautiful blue earrings to go along with the dresses. Again, the gals can actually wear them again! I went to Patina knowing they would have the perfect sized boxes and bought a fun little note pad for each gal for the final touch.
