Wedding: Ties for the Guys

Although I have already posted about the great plaid tie’s in this post, I had to include another post with the complete professional photos! J. Rau Photography captured the colors and pop of the ties beautifully. The handsome groom stands apart from the groomsmen, ushers, and dads in his solid sunflower tie. Believe it or not one of the groomsmen recommended the coordinating pocket squares! I think it was a phenomenal idea! I used every last bit of the 2 yards of Scottish Plaid tartan to make 8 ties! I had to be extremely diligent on how I cut out the pieces. Even with the tartan being quite expensive, making an entire grouping of ties was extremely reasonable as I gave myself free labor!

After looking at these photos are you wondering, gosh, how did all the pocket squares look the same on the guys?? Well, I created a little ‘step by step’ tutorial and included it in their gift they received at the rehearsal which consisted of the plaid necktie, pocket square, and a 6 pack of locally brewed beer.

After looking at all the ties, I think this was truly my favorite design for the wedding. The neckties tied every little aspect together and were the topic on conversation all night long. Even though we went for renting suits rather than buying, there was still that ‘originality’ aspect to the guys look that will always be remembered.

Again, because of the great conversations around the ties, I have designed a few plaids for Corner Bungalow! I LOVE designing wedding accessories and hope to work with brides in the future to capture those little details!

New Wool Neckties added to Corner Bungalow

After making 9 neckties for our wedding , check out post here, and getting some requests to make additional ties mainly from Nick, my husband; I thought they would be a great addition to my little Corner Bugalow Etsy shop.  Check them out! I LOVE LOVE LOVE making items with wool, and they look just beautiful! I just opened shop a month or so ago and I am very excited to where this little journey will take me.
